Nash has been closely involved with the UK oil industry for over 30 years. We have maintained this long relationship because of our ability to adapt to the changing commercial climate and new legislation.

Oil Company Projects

We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new technological and environmental developments, and membership of the APEA assists us in providing our clients with an informed and professional service.

Our extensive experience enables us to offer a wide range of services

• Prepare feasibility studies for green-field sites
• Design, demolish and re-build schemes and to provide full site supervision and project management
• Carry out rent reviews for franchise sites
• Dispose of existing petrol filling stations that are no longer required

We also prepare standard drawings for oil companies. These are produced on our CAD facilities and issued to field staff, consultants and contractors.

 

Design and Build

In recent years some companies have introduced new methods of procurement and we have been able to provide a design and project management service directly for contractors. This has included a scheme in Kazakhstan, as well as developments for major supermarket chains with retail petroleum outlets.

 

Motorway Service Areas

The design of motorway service areas has come a long way since the first ones were built on the M1. Motorists now demand a more attractive and spacious amenity building with a greater choice of food outlets and facilities. The building has to cater for a large number of people who want to get quick and easy access to the food serveries, shops and toilets.

These environments present a considerable design challenge; they must appear welcoming day and night and, as many of them are in rural areas, they must be sympathetically designed to blend with the landscape.

The specification of materials is critically important because the building must satisfy two key requirements; they need to look attractive and good quality but also they be durable to stand up to heavy usage.

Specification is important in the design of the lodge too. It has to offer the business traveller comfortable overnight accommodation, with all modern facilities of a specification appropriate for accommodation that is offered at competitive rates.

Dealerships

Petroleum dealerships also call upon our expertise. We have a proven track record of delivering the same standard of service to dealerships that we give to the large oil companies.

We appreciate that for a small dealership the cost of the contract is often critical to the viability of a scheme. Clients may well require a design of similar appearance to the oil company’s own standards and using our skills and knowledge we can help them achieve the optimum practical result at minimum cost.
