Housing
At Nash, we understand that a home should not only be attractive visually but equally it must be practical and versatile. We have considerable expertise in designing high-quality housing for both individual commissions and purpose-built urban housing developments.
Each scheme has to be individually designed to harmonise with its locality. We take great care to ensure appropriate detailing and the right choice of materials to blend with the surrounding buildings.
An integral part of the process is close working with the local planning authorities to ensure their requirements are met at each stage and the project progresses without unnecessary delays. We have a good record of maintaining the balance between clients’ demands and planners’ requirements for a wide range of residential projects.
Social Housing
Architecture is more than just getting the look of the building right. We believe that the shape and effectiveness of the space within it is equally important. Therefore, whether you are looking for a new starter home, or a six-bedroom family residence, we will maximise your space creatively.
Our houses are designed to compliment one another while retaining their unique appeal. It is important to us, that while a development has inherent cohesiveness, it also blends in with existing homes in the surrounding area.

Barn Conversions
Barns can be converted into spacious and elegant homes. To do this successfully requires a special understanding of the original design and the technical complexities involved in converting the structure, familiarity with the materials and a sympathetic treatment of the building and its relationship to the surroundings.
Barn conversions are subject to rigorous planning consent. Frequently barns are subject to Listed Building Consent, which necessitates consultation with various conservation bodies such as English Heritage.
We have considerable experience in converting farm buildings into private residences, including both isolated barns and grouped buildings.
